I was sorely tempted to post this chapter by chapter, but since it was my entry to the Passion and Perfection Epic Proportions challenge it's all up already, but feedback is VERY welcome as it will hopefully inspire me to work on the numerous story threads I started weaving in this fic.

It's not the girl!Doctor of this lists fame, but more a girl!Doctor of my own creation.

It IS however 21 chapters, 42,582 words, and already slatted to be an entry in the Passion and Perfection Epic Proportions challenge.

While a friend has already beta read about half of it her schedule has picked up and I'm hoping to find another to give all 21 chapters a once over.

Spelling and punctuation are obviously concerns, but any and all feedback will be welcome so I can polish it before sending it in at the end of the month.

Firstly: Hello, I've recently come across this comm and I love the 11th Doctor and all the fics/icons/wallpapers/everything girl!doctor related.

It's more of a fragment than an actual fic. And girl!doctor isn't actually in it. Read the info in my LJ post if you want to know what's going on, but it should eventually make sense if you've read azarsuerte's fic. (Sorry, by the way. I've turned one of your characters evil.)

Title: Night of the Robots

Summary: The Doctor crashlands on a dead planet where a rag-tag human outpost has lost all of its robots.
Spoilers: Very mild spoilers for 'Forest of the Dead', and a ref to 'Embrace the Darkness', an Eighth Doctor audio.
Notes: Having twisted my ankle at the beginning of what seems the longest week in the history of Doctor Who, I decided to knock out a quick girl!Doctor short story. It was fun! I love the character and she was great to write for. I didn't pair her with anyone because people have done that and while it's interesting to see what companions who have known the Doctor as a man make of her as a woman I thought I'd just see how she does on her own. On her own with her cat, of course.

Oh, and this was written in two sessions off the cuff with very little editing, so you'll have to excuse the typos and anything that doesn't quite scan. I hope you enjoy it though. And comments are love.
